The Ampersand emerged through a shared sense that something was missing. We found ourselves grappling with complex policy issues in everyday discussions. Again and again, we realized:
Understanding policy shouldn’t be reserved for insiders.
Thus, we thought: What if we brought our bounded rationalities together? What if captured conversations became actionable proposals?
That’s where The Ampersand began: not as a top-down project, but as a response to a bottom-up need for deeper, clearer, more democratic policy literacy.
Who we are
